An apology, and the Swiss Alps.

Monday 6/5/13 (Part one)

A big apology to those following the blog, but we've spent the last two days in Emmenbrucke, near Luzern Switzerland in the middle of the Swiss Alps and when I have a choice of riding through the Alps with a mate, or writing the blog, I'm afraid the blog looses.

Normal transmission will return shortly and I'll try and catch up. In the meantime, here are a few of the four hundred and fifty three photos Suzanne took today.

The native Werner in it's natural habitat, the twisty roads of the Swiss Alps. It is easily startled and very hard to catch.

Horrible conditions, but what can you do?

Gotta warm up with a coffee.

Not a bad spot to live, especially if you like skiing.

You are here.

It was starting to get cold.

It was a bit cool at the top of this "hill" as Werner called it.

If you crash in snow, does it still hurt?

How much fun can you have in one day?

Suzanne doing some more "dog bothering".

I guess he doesn't get too cold.

We finished of the day with a traditional Swiss Bratwurst.
It was gooooood!

OK, they are a few tantalising tidbits that should whet your appetite to come back in a few days and read about the most amazing two days we've just experienced.

I kinda like Switzerland.

If I ever win Lotto...

I promise I'll post more updates in the next few days.

    1. Ah Roger, you are very kind. As for the weather, well, we can't do anything about that can we? Anyway a ride in the rain is still better than no ride at all eh? See you in Aus soon.

  2. there is no "bad weather", just some suits are more watertight than others, as we all know... . We had a great day and evening with you, hope Suzanne recovered from the antimatter(s) ! Keep it up and don't worry ! We are all thinking about you... ;-)

    1. Thanks Michael but I have to disagree. There is bad weather. When the sky and the road are the same colour, and the rain is so heavy it hurts, that is bad weather. Luckily our gear kept us bone dry and warm. We had a great day thank you. As far as the antimatter, I think it affected Suzanne more that it did me. : )

I hope we can all catch up again, may be at our home, for another barbecue, and some antimatter.
