Seville - Great people, great dogs, and great food. It's not a bad place at all.

Monday 11/3/13

We started the day by meeting Martha and Luna for a coffee at the cafe across the road from the hotel. You would be surprised how enjoyable it is just to sit down, relax, and talk to someone in English.

We had a long chat with Martha and it was a very pleasant way to start the day.

Martha is only a little thing...

...that's why she couldn't stop me doing this.
Sorry Luna.

After saying goodbye to Martha and Luna we went exploring again. We did find a little present for our daughter Paige. (It's in the post Paige.) We ended up back in our room late in the afternoon.

There was a knock at the door, and lo and behold, when I opened it, one of the hotel staff presented us with a bottle of champagne and two glasses on a tray. We both thought it was a very nice gesture, and we enjoyed the champagne.

Last night's dinner was so good we made our way to Cerveceria La Mezquita again. Once again Miguel looked after us. Cerveceria La Mezquita is well worth a visit if you're ever in Seville.

Just as we were leaving, our "round dog" friend with the rubber chicken showed up. I threw her chicken for her a few times. It was a nice way to end the evening.

  1. Greetings, Simon and Suzanne! My husband and I met you at a tapas bar in Seville...just a couple Americans sitting outside in the rain!

Hope you're enjoying your travels - I will keep reading!

  2. Hi guys, It was nice meeting you in Seville. I guess you're home now. We have made it as far as Faro in Portugal and are enjoying it so much we're finding it hard to leave. We've been here for nearly two weeks now. We will move on soon though. I hope we cross paths again someday. Simon & Suzanne, The Aussies.
