A couple of milestones.

Pumba the Stelvio has clicked over 60,000 kilometres, and I've clicked over 60 years.

Hi Everyone, it's been a while.

I was never in any doubt that Pumba would click over 60,000 km, but I was less confidant that I'd see sixty years ☺ We've both had some serious internal work done, but we're both still going strong.

A few months ago Pumba was dropped of the the Guzzi Guru of Perth, Dr Mario at Thunderbike Motorcycles, for a serious birthday celebration.

I did
n't go the whole hog at the 50 k service so now was the opportunity to give Pumba the attention he deserved. Pumba got the full spa treatment, and at Dr Mario's recommendation, a new alternator belt was installed as well. Apparently these have a habit of breaking at around 50,000 K, so a little preventative maintenance here.

I also gave Pumba a special gift. A nice, new, shiny, Staintune muffler. This combined with re tuning the ECU has Pumba running like a Rolex again. More power, less weight, and less heat on the feet for the lovely pillion Suzanne.

Pumba got some new shoes as well. A nice pair of Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2s, my favorite tyres. Pumba sticks to the road most of the time, with the occasional easy dirt road, so these tyre are perfect. They grip brilliantly, last pretty well, and aren't over the top price wise.

I picked Pumba up, took a short ride home, then jumped into my car to tow our caravan to Melbourne.

The in-laws are getting on and we've decided to make a move to the East Coast to live. Pumba will join us later.

As a result of our move and a few trips across the Nullarbor, Pumba has been neglected and I've only put a couple of thousand kilometers on him since he was picked up from Thunderbikes in April. We've finally settled in Melbourne and today we took our first ride in Victoria, to Phillip Island, via the more enjoyable back roads, for lunch at The Inline 4 Cafe.

Victoria is a whole new world for me, so I'll be out riding and exploring. When I find things of interest I'll let you know.

To say we're looking forward to it would be a huge understatement.
